Hello -

Been a while, glad to be back.

I'm putting the final touches on the interior of my '53 3100, which includes repop padding and an original style rubber mat.

The truck came with a box 'o parts, and these strips were part of what I got. The ones with the notches cut out of the ends are 33 5/8" long, and the ones with the bead in them are 32 1/8" long.

What are these strips for?

I ask because the notched strips appear to be hold downs for the rubber mat, installed along the edge of the floor along the door opening.

I have no idea what the beaded strips are for.

I'd appreciate any help at all ID'ing these strips.

Thanks...

Chris

The upper two look like they go on the lower inside of the door, above/over the door weatherseal.

The lower two are for the cab windlace in the lower door opening.

Right name; wrong year for the lower two items.

Chris -
I don't think that the Lower Windlace Retainers can hold down the rubber mat because the mat must be folded back on the passenger side to access the battery, and folded back on the drivers side to access the master cylinder.

Here are some pics of the lower door seal retainer.

On my '54 with standard interior, both of those items were painted the same color as the interior. I assume that that was true for '53, too.
