Those who drill/tap the crank usually use a SBC bolt which is 1/2"-20 (fine thread) however I believe it's unnecessary unless the hub I.D. is worn enough that it want's to fall off. Warming it on a stove for a bit makes installation much easier.

The crankshaft center bolt size is 7/16-20, same as a small block V-8. Drop me a pm if you're interested in the tooling. I believe the puller holes in the damper are 3/8-16, but I'll be glad to confirm that in the morning when there's some light in the storage shed.
