Carter yf last patten number november 1953.Only number's are 6-1658 ,an a circle C an a circle R on air horn near gas inlet.On the body 0-917 is on end of float bowl.Casting number 1-630 on base

Some of the Carter's have the number stamped on the flange

Check for a stamped number.
