For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2012 Posts: 10 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2012 Posts: 10 | I'm just getting all the parts together on my 48 3100. It has a 56 model 235 in it. After I put the radiator in I noticed that the fan sits way low on the radiator. Does everyone have this same situation with a 235 in a 47-54 Chevy truck? | | | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,763 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,763 | One of the members of this site makes a conversion plate that allows the early-style water pump to be installed on the late engine. The 216-style water pump fits the higher location and puts the fan back into the right position. Two holes need to be drilled and tapped, but it's a relatively simple conversion. Jerry
