Lots of work on Brad's part ... pure enjoyment (and references) for you!

For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2012 Posts: 74 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2012 Posts: 74 | Does anyone know where to get rear brake shoes for our 49 3600?
We checked LMC and American Classic. Neither list them on their websites. Our shoe material delaminated and needs to be replaced.
Better yet, does anyone know where we can find riveted shoes rather than glued??

Another option is to find a local truck repair shop and have them reline your shoes. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 565 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 565 | Local auto parts stores should have access. PS, drums are harder to find, so careful when turning... | | | | | Joined: Sep 2012 Posts: 74 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2012 Posts: 74 | Why not just have yours relined? That's what I did. I also have a spare set just in case.
PS, drums are harder to find, so careful when turning... How much was the relining? Their website is not the easiest to use, but lots of parts and you can always call them for more info. I bought Huck brake shoes for my 1949 GMC 3/4 ton through Jim Carter. | | |
