The fuseable link is a red colored wire that has a barrel shape about 3 inches or so from the end.

There could be more than one ... but a "fusible link" is nothing more than a wire one size smaller than the one it's connected to - intended to melt/burn a disconnect and save things from getting worse.
I'd look for a "broken wire" and add the new fusible link to that ... nearby should be the connection it needs to go to.
