I put in my other fresh battery, truck cranked right away,,guess tomorrow will tell me something,,,,Fred Redryder pixMy HotrodA veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The 'United States of America', for an amount of "up to and including my life."I am fighting cancer and I am winning the fight | Pain is part of life; misery is an option.

Taking off one of the battery cables and jumping across to the battery with a bulb is a good test setup. I would suspect your new alternator has a bad diode or regulator.

Like suggested, start with a circuit tester and check each item one by one.

Had every specialist look at it check it; tried 3 different 100 AMP alt. Finnally I said the heck with it and took the wire that went to firewall and hooked it directly to battery. No more problems!!
