For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2012 Posts: 85 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2012 Posts: 85 | I just recently purchase a 50 chevy truck with an arvin fresh air heater. Yes it does take the air from outside into the cab. It also has 2 ports for the defrost hoses but the heater box does not have a lever to switch for heater to defrost and only the floor heat works. Someone suggested it's possible there was a forward/reverse motor on the unit. One direction for defrost and one for heat. Before I start taking it apart would anyone know off hand? Or is it just the lever mechanism is missing? The truck is originally from Texas
