i have a 59 stepside with a munice 318 i believe, it has a column shifter, i have to play around with it to find the correct gears and i cant seem to find the first gear at all, not sure if its the shifter or the trans? | | | | | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,438 Extreme Gabster | | Extreme Gabster Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,438 | Probably the shifter. Check to see all the shift rod connections are tight. It may need new bushings. Also check to see that the neutral position goes from the first-reverse plane to the 2nd-3rd plane and back without having to be jiggled. This can be adjusted out. | | |
