Hello All,
I am thinking of buying a 1951 gmc 2 ton for hauling my work around. I am a sculptor in need of local hauling etc. Does anyone know of a good source for parts for these trucks?
-Thanks

Well,

It depends upon what you need. Virtually every part for the motor is available from the auto parts store or one of the speciality vendors listed on this site. Same for electrical. Probably same for brakes. Instruments same. Bearings for tranny and rear end should be available too. All other parts available on the used market.

There are many parts vendors for these trucks for the specialty parts. These include Classic Industries, Jim Carter, etc. You just have to do a google search and you'll find tons of places sell parts for these. Try eBay too.

I would caution you about the brake drums. I don't think you can buy new ones anywhere so if they aren't useable, you have to scrounge for used ones.

Yori, I moved you over here to the Big Bolts. You should be able to get some pointers from the guys that drive them.
