Hey guys,
I'm reworking the brakes on my 57 3100. The rear brake hose is listed by the FLAPS parts books as #13841, @ 18.25" long. This looks too short to me. It looks like the hose will get pulled out if the rear suspension bottoms against the stops. The rear suspension is stock.

It looks to me like a #35021 (20") or a #36501 (21.125") would be a better fit.

Anyone else run into this?

regards,
Leon

Measure the old hose if you have it. I don't think the rear end will move far enough to pull the hose apart.

My book shows the #13841 for the 3100 & #25664 for the 3200.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

Maybe it'll be OK.
The GM part #3696551 is described as 17" long in the parts manual.
The aftermarket replacement is listed as 18.25" long. But it sure doesn't look like it's long enough.
