Oriely auto has a rotary switch under dash . 3 position with light.

That original switch seems a little high in price, but it is NOS.

If you buy an aftermarket switch, there are 6v and 12v switches.

bought the switch for 100 saw several nos from 79 to 120 . hope i didnt do to bad.now that i jumped in with both feet without looking when i change my heater motor to a 12 volt motor will i have to do anything to the switch or can i do this.

Wait to hear from someone else, but my 6v switch got real hot when I went to 12v for a while. I used a heavy 12v to 6v converter and it also got hot, but it had an insulator base.

I want to clarify information in previous posts in this thread about the aftermarket switches. The O'Reilly link above points to a S186. The image on the O'Reilly page for the S186 is wrong (as of my post date). That is the image of a S184. They are both 12V, but the S186 is only rated at 2 amps, while the S184 is 10 amps. The physical look of the S186 is actually identical to the S183 which is a 6v switch (teardrop knob vs. the round knob on the S184). O'Reilly does carry all 3 of these switches and are a bit cheaper than the usual classic parts houses. Hope this saves somebody the extra trip I had to make.
