| | | | Joined: Sep 2012 Posts: 19 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2012 Posts: 19 | Was working with a local body shop on my C10 for the past two weeks. Found out today that they wanted to change our deal which would cost me a lot more money.
We disassembled the truck over the past two weeks and most of it is now getting sand blasted.
I am not willing to pay what they now want and am going to bring everything home and do this in my garage. Am retired so time is not an issue.
My problem is that 4 of us worked on it over the past two weeks and some of the dis-assembly was done when I was not there. I am going to have to re-assemble some of it without the benefit of doing the dis-assembly or pictures.
What I am wondering is if there is an assembly manual for the truck. I have bought the shop manual (both the 63 base manual and 65 supplement) but it focuses much more on maintenance versus assembly.
Any thoughts or advice would be great. However, there is no index or anything. It is something that was put together by the aftermarket. So, you will be doing a lot of page turning. Keep some post it notes handy to mark the pages. The various manuals that are available: 1960-1966 Manuals Guide Another handy tool is look at photo albums of folks and their web logs about their trucks.
