i have a collection of random parts left over from my restoration. i have a hood emblem, P/N 3743547, that came in a box when i got the truck, but I know it doesn't go with my 56. It doesn't look correct for a 55.2 or 57 either. It does look like a Task Force piece, though - maybe a Big Bolt? Anyone know what this fits?

You may be able to browse this
http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/1929_57chevyparts/57cmpc1092.htm
and find it by the description and part number.

thanks George. Indeed it looks like that, but it has no paint on it. Now that i know what it is, i'll put it in the swap meet.

It's easy to find stuff if you have a part number. You can Google the number.
