Not being familiar with them, it looks to me that the sides are mounted to the drip rail with screws. Has anybody found a way to mount these without drilling holes into the cab driprail (eg: a pinch type clamp)?
I really struggle with drilling holes for fear that I will screw up the paint job. Absent a good way to mount it without drilling may ultimately determine that it will be installed on the suburban (unrestored) but I was ultimately thinking that I would find one for both of them.
Thoughts?

It is becoming very clear why the traffic view finder is required. I think I'll mount this one to the suburban as a trial first. I'll post pictures on my web page when I do it (have not seen any other '46s with one (other than the models).
