For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 835 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 835 | Seems like a 185/75R16 Radial tire might be a close fit to the old 6.50 16 bias ply tires. So far I have been unable to find this size in the USA. Anybody else find this size?

Do you find steering at slow speeds, like parking, more difficult with the 215/85R16 tirest?

when you get the inflation pressure right, you feel the improved steering and tracking.
One advantage of the 215/85R16 is tht it gives you about a 10% higher final drive ratio. Properly inflated, the tire has a "natural" looking profile.

Kurt Other than the Coker 600x16 radial the closest domestic tire size to the 600x16 is sold by Diamond Back Tires and is the 195/80Rx16. Scroll down to page 22.

Have you tried a set?

Kurt The section width is just a bit wider than the stock 600x16 and won't clear my fender skirts.
