1949 One ton Dually
Well my lug nuts loosened up on the rear axle and I snapped one off. I am trying to find a replacement for it. I popped the good one next to it out and took to local parts store and the closest thing they had the knurl is to long and the brake drum won't go on. Anybody every done this job and have a part number by chance?
Chevs of the 40's didn't have one and waiting for a call back from Jim Carter. Just trying to cover all my bases on finding parts so I came here also.
Thanks

I was able to get them for the rear of my 1951 1 Ton from LMC. It took three tries for them to ship the right stuff but I got them in the end.

I am quessing o.a.l. is overall length
That says it is 1 11/16" and mine is 2 1/4" overall. I don't think I can go over half an inch shorter but will look at it
Thanks

I just called LMC and as soon as I said "one ton dually" the gal I was talking to was absolutely no more help.

Jim Carter called back and they have nothing either.

If you go to the LMC site, enter your year and make of truck and for the search "30 1026" it will bring up rear studs for a 3/4 Ton. I believe they fit the 1 Ton single but I don't know about a dually. Here is the catalog page LMC Catalog

If you have a NAPA in your area, I would go there first. They've came up with all kinds of stuff for my truck. If all else fails, could you grind off a little of the shoulder on the one you found at your local store so that the drum would clear?

That's exactly what I did today. I chucked the studs in a drill and put them to the grinder.
The part # I used is Dorman 610-730. They are a little longer than stock but not much.

What a deal. A little ingenuity goes a long way.
