So, I've got a new one! But, I need to squash the pulley mounting thing further down the shaft, as I've got a 235, in a '49.
What size press do I need to do this? Can I get away with a 1 Ton arbor press? Or do I need something more powerfull?
Thanks in advance! | | | | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,440 Extreme Gabster | Extreme Gabster Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,440 | An arbor press should do it. | | | | Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 1,388 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 1,388 | Thanks for the info, this seems like a good enough excuse to get an arbor press, and stop trying to improvise! | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,877 . | . They have larger and smaller and even bench top ones as well. Grigg | | |
