The famous one is put on by Wise County Antique Auto Club. This one is the one that used to be at The Ballpark in Arlington. This is their 2nd year in Decatur. I didn't go last year because of the heat. I plan to go check it out this year. Anyone want to meet up? | | | | | Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 Bolter | | Bolter Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 | thanks, I forgot about that, at least I got the right city...lol bet it wont be as big as the Wise county but a swap meet is a swap meet, right...............
wonder why they moved it

I believe it is the weekend of October 14th.
I will miss talking with Cletis and using his space to store all my purchases. I always ended up being a source of entertainment for him since most of the stuff I bought was junk. Hehe
Have fun

Went last year and it was smaller, so at least it's growing. There was a guy there selling a '54 half ton project he had bought 2 weeks prior. Had a Mustang II front end nicely welded in, four new tires and wheels, body work mostly done. Cab was stripped. 235 engine out but had been gone through and not started since, Offy dual carb manifold, Fenton headers, and assorted new parts. All for $5,000. Hadn't sold by the time I left that afternoon.
Hope it gets bigger 'cause it didn't take long to go through it.
