Hello all,
I read the tech tip, but I must be missing something. The tip says to remove the three screws that secure the door latch, and then remove the two small screw below that hold the rear channel for the window. That's where I hit a snag. I can stick my arm in and move the channel around a bit, but I cannot (without forcing it) get enough clearance to work the latch around it to get it out. Please, what am I doing wrong? Thanks!!

You need to completely remove the door latch first. Then there are two small screws near the bottom of the door (outside of door). There is also a screw near the top of the channel inside the door (sometimes missing) that and the latch hold the channel in place. Once the latch is dropped inside the door remove it and the weatherstrip channel through the access panel if you are doing both doors mark the channels because they are R & L hand.

Thanks, Brad. I could not get to the little screw just below window level - it was covered over by the replacment channel-stripping. But I was ablt to work the latch around the channel, once the two lower screws were removed. Why did they make it so hard? All it needs is an access plate.

Anyway, thanks for your help.

Harry
