So, we can't get the hood open. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to get in there to pry the pin to free it from the latch? | | | | | Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,780 Master Gabster | | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,780 | Welcome to the bolt' This happens occasionally. Try pushing down on the hood in a front to back and in a downward motion and have someone try and move the lever hard. We have discussed this before and several of us have had the same problem through the years. Here's a previous post that has the manual information that may help. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2012 Posts: 17 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2012 Posts: 17 | I've seen this on mine before, if the hood is a little out of alignment or twisted It will hang up in the hole, if the front to back doesn't do it I've had to shove mine off to the side a little. look at the way the hood is sitting and see if it looks like it's off to one side or the other. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 9,115 | The last time this came up, the solution was forcing it side to side at the front. There mat be a way os loosening some of the hinge bolts from inside the cab. I know this is frustrating and could be a real bear to deal with. | | |
