I have seen a "bolt-on" conversion kit (from Performance Online)that is made to use your current ball joints and tie rod ends. Anyone see/use this kit? Or have an opinion in the bolt-on verses the full conversion?

What year is your truck? Are you asking about a disc brake conversion? We will need more info.

It's a 66 C10, and yes, I am talking about a disc brake conversion. I read through a tech tip on this, and watched the install that included replacing the ball joints and tie rod ends. But, now I see this kit that uses the existing ball joints and tie rod ends. I'm just wondering if there is an advantage one over the other.

I have not done the disc brake conversion yet, but I plan to. I'd say the first thing to do is evaluate the condition of your current ball joints and tie rod ends. They might need to be replaced. My truck has 88K miles and my ball joints and tie rods all needed replacing. That's what I'm doing to my truck right now.

If your stuff is still good, then you might be able to save a few bucks by getting a kit that simply swaps the knuckle.

As for me, I plan to use the CPP disc brake kit. I have not decided if I want to lower my truck or stay stock height.

Can you post a link to the conversion kit you are referring to?

The Performance Online spindle kit seems like it only includes spindles.

The Performance Online complete front kit seems to have the same stuff as the CPP and is a bit cheaper. Add $20 if you want 6 lug.

The CPP kit includes the same components and make a complete package. It's slightly more expensive.

Both kits say they use stock ball joints and tie rods.

It sounds like you just need to decide which vendor offers the package that appeals to you. The spindles are probably identical.
