I hope this is the right place to post this question.
Is there any trick to installing new vent window seals? I haven't purchased the seal kits yet. This is for my '59.
The vertical seal sections were the worst in condition and appeared to have rivets.
I'm just looking for a little guidance from someone who's been down this road.

I bought the seals and rivets ,they give you 26 rivets.You can also buy the peen over tool as well. I riveted the vertical piece in [4 rivets]. The tech support will tell you the C shaped seal is riveted as well. The originals did not look as though they were riveted so I glued those seals in. I only removed 6 rivets per side the 4 for the vertical seal and the 2 on the division bar at the bottom of the vent window frame. Removing those 2 gives you enough room to remove the vent window assembly. The only problem I saw was the rivets I bought were too long for the vertical seal, so I shortened them up to work. I was watching a show recently where a guy buys and flips autos. He bought an old car and liked its patina so much, he painted clear over it. It looked fantastic!
