No seal needed. What year 235, it makes a difference on what rocker connecter tube you need.

i have checked the #s and it looks like it was made in 55 or 56 the reason i was thinking about this is that i would get the full oil pushed thur the rockers before the oil returns to the pan. i am in the process of rebuilding the 235 an will be putting a full oil pressure system in the engine.

Could you explain? 1955-56 engines are full pressure already, unless you are talking about using 1959-62 rockers, which had the shafts pressurized.

Maybe faynelong is referring to a full-flow oil filter conversion, which would have little to do with rocker arm lubrication?

the 235 does have lubrication tim is right i am planning on doing a full-flow oil filter conversion. the reason im asking about the rocker arm oiler is one of the rocker arm shafts was wore badly i also think it was installed wrong the oil hols were at the bottom i think they should be at the top but i was just thinking maybe i could get more oil to the rockers by making the rocker oiler sealed to the head just a thought and give the rockers more oil i did not do any work on this engine when i got it was the way i mentioned

The holes are supposed to be on the bottom on the low pressure engines. I assume they didn't change it with the full pressure engines. With the holes on the bottom the rockers start getting oil sooner than they would if they had to wait for the shafts to fill.
