I ordered one and it's exactly opposite of the one on the truck. I looked a pics of the switch off a late '55-'59 and it looks like the one on my truck. I wonder if mabey mine's the wrong one mounted upside down or something?
The holes are on the left side of the brake lever and the electrical connectors are facing down. the ones that are pin down =Cole Hersee # 8487, and the ones that face up =8486, and either are also avilable as Standard [brand] .... all available from NAPA as well, maybe you could return that one?
