Hello,
I'm not talking about the popular Ladies book! blush blush

I am trying to find out what Brand of paint and the Gray color name to use on my 1946 AC L-4 Oil Filter. Enamel, Lacquer, etc.

Also suggestions as to where I can get the correct Decal.
Please see the photo's below.

My filter is connected to the manifold via a special bracket that connects under the carb and to the horm mount on the manifold.
There is also a photo of the Bracket installation kit.
THe decal sold by Jim Carter is for the L-6 filter. Someone out there must sell the decal for the L-4 filter, I hope!
Thanks for your help.

The Filling Station (fillingstation.com) has the L-4 decals in white (D-681) and orange (D-116.)

Thanks for the info. I believe this will be the closest I will get to the original decals for the AC L-4 oil filter.
The Filling Station P/N D-681 & D-932.
I have been told that Battleship Gray is close to the original color. The original paint was Lacquer.

I have been told the side decal is 2 1/2" while The Filling Station is 2 1/4".
Whats a 1/4" among friends??
Thanks for your comments.
