You'd be surprized what you can get at your local NAPA or big truck spring shop.

Duke,

Most big cities have spring and suspension repair shops that work on BIG trucks. They do springs, king pins and drive shafts etc., thay might be a source for you.

Hy dukedaddy, firstly lets start with one thing at a time. This post was originally about front axle rebuild parts, if you now want to talk about engine/truck identification, please start another post about that. People will only see the front axle question when looking through the forums. About the information I posted, the two letter codes are truck model designations, these were used before the number series was introduced, they are all the models the kingpin repair kit fits, they are all 1 1/2 ton trucks I believe. Napa is a huge aftermarket parts supplier, and the p/n (part number) I posted is their identification number for the kingpin overhaul kit they stock. RockAuto is also an aftermarket parts supplier, and usually the cheapest supplier for most things, both are accessible on the internet. Hope that helps.

3B, yes- thank you that does help smile
And you are correct about starting another post... I was thinking more along the lines of a conversation that can flow from detailed topic to other items under the original umbrella of conversation. I will correct and will try to stay on topic. Thanks again I appreciate the feed back.
