Finally got the utility bed boxes mounted on the 64 this weekend- Epoxy primed on Sunday- Little bit of filler here and there, doors back on and I think we'll be on the road!- I still have to figure out a back bumper- Anybody have any pics of an older utility bed with rear bumper? ours had a single plate bolted on and a tow hitch was rigged to the frame (rear plate was notched) - we no longet have the tow hitch assembly and now have a chassis mounted tank-

Heres what we started with- Not opposed to a flat plate but not sure that will look quite right- plus we could use a step to get into the bed...

Any worries about the bumper being slippery with wet shoes, grease, or after rain?

Great work and I like the color. Keep posting your progress.

Lugnutz-
Yes- we do have those very concerns- thinking about a piece of diamondplate over the step part- or we will spray that sufrace with bed liner material- we used the Sems Rocket-liner for the bed and I'm impressed with the look and quality ( no word yet on well it stands up to abuse)

My son will use the truck as his dailey driver- He is 18 now and will be taking welding classes this fall- He work towards getting his welding certification. (he is the curly haired kid doing all the welding in the photos. He wants to weld for a lving and this seemed like a great beginning platform for his welders and tools-

Looking at your pics, your son certainly seems to have the gift to be an excellent welder. And what a great rig for that profession. Do you know the utility body manufacturer by any chance. Reading? Morrisville? DeHart? Or?

Morris Bodies is the name on the tag- do you know anything about them? I'll post a picture of the tag tonight when I get home.

You'll find some info here. And it may lead you to other sites for more info. Just have to search.
