Mine goes like this :
Black wire = ground
White wire = headlight dimmer switch
Red = Voltage Terminal
Green = distributor

When I have installed aftermarket gauges, I always hook the light wire that goes to the dash lights - that way the brightness is controlled for the new gauges, just like the stock ones. | | |

The dimmer switch (I'm referring to the headlight dimmer switch) controls the brightness of the bulb in the tach and all other gauges. PS - re: your sig-line, GMCpanel -- I don't think God intended there to be religions! Just faith.
