We will have tons of questions in the future but I thought I'd start with a radio question. I've got a radio that looks like it fits in our 53 Chevy 3600. the serial number is 146240 and the model is 982421.
Can anyone help us with where to start researching if this beast even fits a truck like ours? Where to go for more info and how to repair it?
thanks in advance....Dave and Aidan

You can find the model number of the radio for your truck in the Tech Tips Section. Here is a link Radio List I don't know if your radio will fit your truck but there is no harm in trying. | | | | Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 126 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 126 | Call the Radio Doc, in Grants Pass Or. He ships world wide & does very good work with guarantee at a very reasonable price. Berry can restore any tube radio. He has restored probably 7 or 8 1947 to 53 Chevy truck radios for me. A couple 48 Chev cars & a couple 39 Chevy car radios. If you are going 12 volt, he can turn your 6 volt radio to 12 volt so you won't need a voltage reducer. Call Berry @ 541-474-2524, tell him Darrell sent you.

Car chat means talks about Chevy's. All other car makers only build transportation. I don't work on my cars, I entertain my self in my garage, so my nabor tells me.
