Can someone help me figure out what this filter goes to Yr/vehicle

Crash, this Tech Tip on Oil Filters may help you...

crash2012 - Guessing from the colors, that's a Fram filter housing. Looks really tall for a typical 216/235 bypass filter but it could just be the angle of the picture.

That does look like an extra long filter. It is a Fram. You might check to see if filters are available for it.

Healingbear I couldn't find it in the tech tip section,yes it is taller than those in the pictures its app. 10 1/2 inches from lid bolt to bottom, I regestered on BOb's oil forum so i can post there tomorrow,

Ok it looks like a Fram cartridge filter 1950-1960? maybe for larger trucks 1, 1 1/2 tons? filter could be a Fram Cp4
If anyone could add too this??

a Fram C4P is roughly 4 7/8 tall and 4 1/4 diameter

I believe that filter will be to short for your canister.

do you have an old element you can measure? maybe take to NAPA for comparison
