Man, I don't know why it took me so long to sign up here, but I'm glad I did. There are answers to most all of my questions here, tons of knowledge. The build threads realy helped me out too, love it.
Anyways, I have an Omaha Orange '47 GMC which I have just begun to work steady on, among a few other cars. It needs pretty much all the usual patch work, and am in search for some parts that I will add to the want ads.
My dad bought this truck about 12 years ago, and it sat outside until he died, 11/25/10. I drug it into the garage and tore it down to assess the damage. The frame was rotted right out and someone had crudely swapped out the rear end and suspension. All that went to the scrap yard, as I just happened to part out an extended cab Sonoma and had the rolling frame tucked away in the barn. No brainer there, the '47 cab is now mounted to that frame. I'm taking pics as I go, and may start up a build thread of my own.

Hey Fonz...
I did chat with you via pm on the HAMB a while back about a seat cover. I may be contacting you once I start puting this thing back together, to see if you have any misc. parts which I'm sure I don't have, lol.

The usual patch work on a 65 year old truck is a lot of work, hope you can get it done. Good luck with it.

Thanks guys.
Yeah, this is the most involved project I have taken on so far, but I'm enjoying every minute of it. I just wish this heat wave would move on so I can tolerate being out in the barn.
