If it is a second series 47 you should have no problem mounting everything but the box. 47 second series do not have a indentation in the dash for column shift but that should not be a problem if you use a 1948-54 4 speed trans.

I really haven't figured out how to tell if it's a first or second series. I'll start researching that. Seems with every question I have it just leads me to 5 more questions. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2012 Posts: 22 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2012 Posts: 22 | I'm guessing it's a second. All the parts minus the gas tank location look just like the 50-54's. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | don't guess, a 1st series 47 body looks like a 41-46 because they're really "left over" 46's, the 2nd series "true 47" is an AD, like 48-53 .... yes, the sheet metal from a 3/4T will fit on a 1/2T chassis, might need to jig some mounting spots a bit

Thanks for the help guys. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 | I know 1948-54 cabs mount on each side in the front, I assume 47 is the same. I was just working on a 48 and the rear cab mount is in the center on what looks like a rocking set-up, I would bet 47 is the same. Later cabs use a shackle set-up, on each side, off the outside of the frame up to the cab floor.
