My 66 is a big 'ol pile of non-functioning wires with paint and I will have to rewire it. I was thinking of a Painless kit, since they just came out with a kit made for that year. How hard is it to do? Wiring is my bane when it comes to cars and this one has me scratching my head. It's ok if it takes a while cuz this baby isn't going to be done for a looong time.

Yeah, chrome looks pretty, but it don't make the car faster.

I've never done a painless on a chevy but I did do one on a Jeep. It was super easy. Everything comes labeled and the instructions are clear.

Go back a bit and see threads on wiring harness on 9/05-9/06/01, 5/17-5/18/01, 4/29-5/17/01, and 2/02-03/01. May also be helpful to read fall '00 replies from Phat and others about "wiring the beast" and "wiring time on the project." Best o'luck.

It may be too late for you to use, but ez wiring makes a 18 fuse 21 circuit kit that has all wires labeled as well as GM ignition connectors. I believe their address is
www.ezwiring.com

I used the 12 circuit harness from "Kwik Wire", It was very easy to install. All wires
are labeled. Very clear and easy to follow instructions. Check it out!! http://www.crnttech.com/rodshop/index.htm

Hello, Yes I also have used the painless wireing. Installed it in a 72 Chev 1/2 ton. Went well was easy to read and understand.I would use one again in the event of a need. Hope this helps.
