The original seat in my 1940 Chevy half ton is very uncomfortable. The springs are to soft (for my weight)the padding is minimal and there is no lumbar support. Has anyone had a seat rebuilt and had these items addressed with good success?

sunshine foam in cinci, ohio has a good selection of springs, with a little bit of time that old seat will feel new again!

Used the same material as they did originally, burlap and batting, then add some foam, like the rebond 6lb foam for the lumbar issue
