wondering which would be better. pros and cons of both and a good place to buy a inexpensive one or both. just want to play with one and see if its something i could do.

There are enough metalshaping events in the MN/Dakota area that you could go and "kick the tires" so to speak, talk to some knowledgeable folks on such equipment, and see for yourself. Check out either allmetalshaping or metalmeet dot com.
