I don't know very much about it -only that it came from the Dallas area. It's fairly solid and had no motor or transmission. My brother in law lives in Smithville and found a 350 motor for me that was freshly rebuilt and bored .30 over. It's never been started and needs radiator, fan, carb., starter, and an endless list of parts and repairs. I removed the bed and started on the chassis. I burned thru a dozen grinder wire wheels just getting the back recognizeable again. I plan to remove the cab but want to focus on brakes first. I've pulled the old rusty gas tank and am working on the cab supports. This truck has about 6 different paint jobs and now has numerous more colors of primer. My plan is to drive this truck so more than likely a rebuild short of a restoration. I'll need wiring and a floor pan but ironically the seat is in pretty good shape. Like most barn finds this one has a dozen socks that mice had made a nice nest with under the seat. I'm missing some glass but the round corners are intact and seemingly new. The hood is great but I'll need a new driver side rear fender. I like that this truck is a one ton but it does not look like one. Was fortunate that someone has already put a 10 bolt rear end in it most likely from a Camaro or Nova. These trucks are so Fat in the fenders you can do almost anything with em. I've always loved the ADs and a good five window is kinda hard to find. I think with this set up it will fall into the RatRod category but I'll do my best to make her look as oiginal as I can. A sleeper truck like this will certainly provide a lifetime of fun for sure... Pix on Photobucket Kyle Grimes
