Though this is a fire-engine related question, the issue is with the radiator, so I'm putting it to the broad market.

I'm adapting an auxiliary cooler (basically, a fluid heat exchanger used with the fire pump for cooling when the truck is working stationary) for my '41 Chevy with the 216. The cooler is from the A-D series, and is meant for a rad. intake that's straight, meaning horizontal. MY radiator inlet tilts DOWN, toward the engine.

A radiator from an alledged donor truck has the straight inlet, but the rad. is different dimensionally. I'm totally uncertain as to what's original.

So I'm asking: for you '41 to '46 Art Deco Big Bolt owners, how does your radiator intake tilt?!!!

I know, it's a personal question, but I have to ask.

Mine is the original radiator and is heavy duty for a 1.5 ton truck and the inlet is straight. This truck is military but I believe that the radiator is the same as the civi Deco trucks only the sheet metal is different.
