My 55 series II LWB half ton, model 3200, has a two piece driveshaft. I want to replace the universal joints on the rear shaft. I'm not sure that the u-joints are the same. The rear joint is held to the differential input yoke by u-bolts. The front end at the splined slip joint (yoke?) is held by clips. The front joint appears to have larger diameter caps. I'm not sure. Could take it apart and measure but thought I'd ask the experts first... Many Thanks | | | | | Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 1,901 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 1,901 | Hi Sepp, I have no answer for you but if you don't have this link bookmarked it may lead to your answer. Just as a guess I wouldn't be surprised if you have to drop both ends to get at the center. 55-2 universal joint - from manual for sure the guys here will know.
Give me ambiguity or give me something else
