Lokar shifters have multiple mounting locations. Check out the photos on the following link. If you use the front mounting holes the shifter will be just a few inches behind where your existing bell housing is now. http://lokar.com/product-pgs/shifters/shifter-product-pgs/auto-trans-shifter.html | | | | | Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 2,951 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 2,951 | Doggonit!!! Because of the bench seat I can only drop it down to low 2, I am unable to get it all the way to low 1. I was planning on installing bucket seats anyways, so that will eliminate the issue. But be aware that some of the automatic shifters may not get the full range of motion because of the bench.
And after seeing the link, i agree with lugnutz...never should have clicked it (now i want one...). | | | | | Joined: Dec 2009 Posts: 43 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Dec 2009 Posts: 43 | thank you for info. got one on way | | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,733 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,733 | I had a BM shifter in my 57' BelAir and gave it away and even shipped it UPS to a guy who wanted it so I could buy a Lokar which I love. | | |
