The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Driveline Proper Wheel Question - 1949 3600

I have recently acquired a 1949 Chevy 3600 pickup. It has 2 15", 8 lug, split rim wheels which I am currently presuming are the original wheels. The other 3 wheels are 16" and obviously not original to the truck as the center flange has been cut out to make them fit.

What was the typical wheel for a 1949 3600 pickup?

Standard wheels were the 15" two piece like the two you already have.

Put an ad together for the Swap Meet section on the site. Often people have extras at a reasonable price.

Mine were 17" split rims and original I presume. Replaced them with 16" rims I found online via a thread on this web site. Running radials and loving it.
