Hi guys! My panel has arrived - let the work begin! But meanwhile I have a bunch of questions...

1 - Rear sill had been whacked - are there replacements?
2 - Right rear inside - is that a clip for the jack? Where did the spare mount?
3 - Any source for a replacement lighthousing?
4 - Drivers seat looks like a replacement - pics 9 & 10 look like the original seat. I haven't decided about the seats yet is a drivers seat available out there?
5 - Scored 4 original hubcaps!
6 & 7 - Left barn door - 7 shows a release pin - looks like an add on -- yes?

Floor - from underneath is looks like a sheet of plywood. Inside - is it planks or the same plywood?

1 - rear sill is hard to repair, but the only choice unless you can find a good used one
2 - that's the jack rack, but I've never seen it there, either under the front of the driver seat or under the hood
3 - if you mean the license light, the one you have is similar to the 57-59 assembly shown here, but on a 55 it should be the earlier style, like the AD - must be cuz of replacement doors
4 - yes, that driver seat is cobbled up, the pass side is the original driver seat - used might be found, they were the same in AD years and I believe in the base sedan delivery
6 - yes, that bottom latch was added

and yes, the floor is one over-size sheet of 3/4 ply with the skid strips inset, special order if you want to replace it

Anyone out there have an extra rear sill for a 55/56 panel????

always like seeing TF panels resurrected!

the sill is the same '55 2nd to '59, but where it bolts on to the under-structure is frequently quite rough, same as the rear lower quarters, you'll be lucky to find a parts truck it's good, but if yours isn't too much a struggle to get off a good body man could straighten it, just not something for an amateur!
