Hi,
I'm new to posting here, but have been reading for a few years. I'm primarily a classic motorcycle builder, but I have a '59 Apache I've been running around for a few years and fixing up as I go.
I just spent a few sessions over the last week converting my Delco point distributor to use a Chrysler slant-six reluctor and pickup system and a third-party external HEI coil controller.
It came out great and other than the module mounted next to the battery box and the two wires coming out of the dist, it looks stock.
I don't know if it's appropriate to post links here rather than copy over all the content, but I wrote a step-by-step of the process with pics and explanations. If it's not ok, let me know and I'll take out the link and copy the pics/details here.
