Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 255 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 255 | Hey pros; Swapping my 1950 216 out for a 1958 235 and Tom Langdon's engine swap guide says to switch out the front engine mounting bracket. I've looked at the one on my 216 and the one on my 235 and they look almost identical other than the 216 bracket has a hole on each lower outer edge (where it bends at about 45 degrees). My 216 didn't have anything attached to these at all.
Anyone have any idea whats different between the two motor mount plates? Both motors came from a 1-ton truck.
