| | | | Joined: May 2007 Posts: 222 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2007 Posts: 222 | 49 Panel truck model 3100, the emergency brake transverse bar, when the E brake is applied, not only rotates it also shifts or moves sideways toward he passengers side making a banging sound. As a results of this the brake does not work as well as it did. Any thoughts, or ideas on how to repair this situation. Thanks.

| | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 | There should be an arm on each side that is clamped to the crossbars ends. I think there was a 3/16" thick washer that went between the arm and bracket. If the washer is missing the shaft could move sideways. Shims on the left side will stop it from moving to the right.
