I noticed that my gas pedal would accelerate on it's own when I hit a big bump so I checked that my motor mounts were tight. The driver side front mount was not. The top nut was stripped and when I tried another one I discovered that the bolt part of the mount was also stripped. I have a 235 in a 1959 1/2 ton Apache. I have been checking all of my catalogs and I can't find a replacement anywhere. I was thinking of fabricating one out of grade 8 all-thread if I cannot locate a replacement. Does anyone know of a source for the motor mounts or if my idea of making my own would work.
Thanks for any suggestions.

I think I got it fixed. I put a new lock nut on it and then chained the engine down with a turnbuckle just to be safe. I bought the stuff I need to fabricate a new one if I ever get around to fixing it right.
Thanks anyway,
