System is 12v and everything seems to be working fine but when he leaves his truck park over night the battery gets drained and is completely dead the next morning.
I helped him check all connections and everything seems fine.

If a meter is not available I like to use a test lamp (looks like an icepick with a lamp or bulb in the handle and a wire pigtail hanging out). A couple of bucks at your FLAPS. I prefer to pull the neg. battery cable off (either side will work). Clip the pigtail wire to the cable and icepick point to battery post. With everything electrical off on the truck, the lamp should not 'burn'. If it glows, do as Red58 suggest, start pulling fuses.
