I've seen a few paddle switches but most have been a rotary switch. You can get modern aftermarket rotary switches that do the job but don't look like the originals. If original appearance is important you'll likely need to buy at a swap meet or on ebay. Just be aware that most of the switches on ebay come out of old rusty cars. I've bought a few that were too corroded inside to work. This shows the switches in my '38. From left to right are rotary switches for the back up light, fog lights, defroster (paddle switch) and heater. On the right side of the mast jacket (steering column) is a high beam indicator. This is the modern version of the rotary switch.
