So my 41 chev truck has a pair of fog lights but the wiring/switch is gone I was wondering what switch i sould go with(trying to restore original) I've seen several switches on e-bay, NOS Vintage Cole Hersee , ANDREWS FS-147 what would a dealer have used back in 41 any vintage pictures would be great

Most that I've seen are the under dash rotary type switch. I've seen a few paddle switches but most have been a rotary switch. You can get modern aftermarket rotary switches that do the job but don't look like the originals. If original appearance is important you'll likely need to buy at a swap meet or on ebay. Just be aware that most of the switches on ebay come out of old rusty cars. I've bought a few that were too corroded inside to work. This shows the switches in my '38. From left to right are rotary switches for the back up light, fog lights, defroster (paddle switch) and heater. On the right side of the mast jacket (steering column) is a high beam indicator. This is the modern version of the rotary switch.

Thanks for info yes original is important to me, I'm watching a switch on e-bay right now its a paddle that says fog lite made by Cole hersee comes with box so I'm not worried about it being rusty just hoping its 40's
