Anyone have pics showing how Dolphin Gauges in a 51 are fastened to the dash from behind?
Wondering if making small tabs attached to the old threaded studs is the best way to go? Would appreciate any suggestions or imput from fellow bolters who have done this install.

Someone else threw this idea out and it worked great for me: I cut the back out of my original gauges and installed th dolphin gauges into them. Then you use the original mounting tabs and bolts.

I'd suggest fabricating small right-angle tabs from 1/16" sheet metal, and attaching them to the replacement gauges with high-strength epoxy. Then use the original mounting screws to attach the new gauges.

The trouble with epoxy-ing tabs to the gauge is that most aftermarket 5"gauges are too small to fit the opening. I suspect that is so they can sell us $130 bezel! By using the original housing, you avoid this cost and it looks like it was made for the truck.

I used the Autometer 5 inchers that they spec for 47-53 stove bolts...

Used stock bezels and the provided mounting hardware...

No issues, look good, really accurate, too
