I've got 2 wires running from the switch to the motor, then one that come off the switch, and terminates in a spade connector. Does this go to ground, or hot? My 60 service manual has a wiring diagram for the single speed, and the 61 has the troubleshooting section, but no wiring diagram. On the single speed, the switch grounds, but I'm not sure on this.
Also, I have the multi speed heater blower motor, but the resistor seems to be missing. Where is it suppose to be located? Where could I get a new one, if this one is turely gone, and not just hiding.

I spent monday rebuilding the bolldy %$$%#ing quadra jet carb, by the light of my truck headlight, and haven't had time to work on the truck since then. I've got to put my outer duals back on, and reassemble the boom (had to get light wieght - 5760, much better than the 6300 prior - $50 less to dmv. ) before I worry too much about windshield wipers. Anyone got any info on the heater question? ~John

Feel the back with your hand, if you feel a retangle hole, then you're missing the resistor. A new resistor costs about $9. If there is a resistor inplace, check it for dirt, dust, and anything else that can cause it to start a fire, or alot of smoke.

I think it might have something to do with the washers... On my '63 I only have one speed of wiper, but the washer runs, mechanically, off that motor. If I remember right there is a set of contact points that engage the pump drive when the wash button on the wiper switch is pushed.
